OCTOBER – FOX/PARACHUTIST HUNT !!! CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST

ALL DAY –  FREESYTLE – FOX HUNT!

Go as a group or stealthy solo! Find it and add your call to the Log Book. Smartphone able to scan a QR Code required to send and email for logging your find.

Stay stealthy and move on so the next operator has a challenge.

Fox will be hid – go find at your leisure. Check-Ins and Chatter will be in 145.410 – offset 100 tone

BACKSTORY – Some where in the Greater Medford area a SOLO parachutist has gone off course and crash landed

His Garmin transponder has failed but his HAM Radio was damaged in the landing and is stuck in a beacon

mode – JCSO have asked the Amateur Radio Community for the assistance in locating the injured

parachutist as they have no direction finding equipment that operates on the correct freq.

YOUR Mission is to find the injured parachutist – Confirm with a visual photo with him and Email HQ

with notification of successfully finding him

Location will be within 50 feet of a road way – NO CRAZY HIKING OR TERRAIN

THIS TIME > > > > LOL

Date and Start time – 9:00 AM ish – I will announce when the Beacon starts running as a QST on 145.410 Till Afternoon sometime 4-5ish

Additional Updates will be sent as QST’s through out the day.

Frequency is – 146.565 (will be reveled Wednesday/Thursday doing some coverage testing possibly)

After Hunt debrief and discussion will be during the following weeks net on Monday Night.

Operators may of course talk a bit of smack on 145.410
